Day 1: Mumbai
Shoot a picture of the Gateway to India, facing westward out to sea and stop in for a cup of tea at the famous Taj hotel next door. Mumbai is the commercial and entertainment capital of India, and home to the world-famous Hindi-language film industry, Bollywood.
Day 2: Mumbai
Further explore this fascinating bustling city. Catch a ferry to Elephata caves, wonder in the markets of Colaba to try out your bargaining skills or head out for the fort area in hunt of India colonial architecture heritage.
Day 3 & 4: Tadoba Tiger Reserve
Track the last surviving tigers in remote Todoba tiger reserve. We stay at lovely Eco friendly lodge run by environmental scientist mr Amrut , situated right on the edge of the forest. During our stay we take morning and afternoon game safaris to explore the park rich wildlife
Day 5: Raipur
Morning we drive back to Nagpur for catching a day train to Raipur. This busy capital of Chattisgarh would be our last glimpses of city life and its comforts before we dive into remote tribal heartland of central India
Day 6 & 7: Jagdalpur
The town serves as excellent base to explore the tribal region of Bastar. We take day excursions to visit vibrant tribal market, remote villages s and stunning waterfalls..
Day 8: Jypore ( Orissa)
Crossing over to state of Orissa, we further explore few tribal villages to witness the primitive lifestyle
Day 9: Raygada
Today, we proceeds to the weekly market of Bondo and Didayi, the most primitive tribes of Orissa living in the mountains called Bondo hills
Day 10: Baliguda
Drive to Baliguda enroute visiting the famous Kondh tribes & their villages, famous in history for their Meriah Sacrifice-Human Sacrifice (Nowadays buffalo’s are sacrificed)
Day 11 & 12: Puri
Puri is the holiest place in Orissa and one of the biggest pilgrimage centres in India situated on the shoreline of the Bay of Bengal. visit to the famous Jagannath Temple & “Raghurajpur” craftsmen village. Plenty to free time to enjoy the sun and sea on puri’s sandy beaches.
Day 13: Bubneshwar
After visiting the famous Sun temple of Konark en route we drive to Bhubneshwar, capital of Orissa. This city boast of more then 1000 temples. So lets see how many you can make it while your stay here before u get completely “templed out”.t”.
Day 14: On train to Kolkata
Morning city tour to explore this magnificent ancient city. Take excursion to Udaigiri caves or Nadankanan Zoological park famous for housing white Tigers.
Day 15: Kolkata
Kolkata ,once the capital of British India, is an exciting, busy, sometimes chaotic city and certainly one of the most intense . With its British architecture, its trams and, of course, the river with its famous Howrah Bridge, Kolkata is a vibrant and exciting city with plenty to offer
Day 16: Tour end
Tour finishes after breakfast. The check out time is 12:00. Please make sure that you vacate your rooms by 12 Noon .If you require a departure transfer please ask your tour leader or front office manager for this. Please note that there is no departure tax and the reporting time for International flights is 3 hrs. . |
